Linerider for Wii

*Ahem* Good day, I'm Mirinu, wondering how this will turn out, I'm a line-rider lover, and so I've been greatly contemplating this... It will be very easy for this to become a mess up I'm thinking...

Firstly, I'm thinking that the obvious wii point and drag interface, that will most likely be used or on option, will get in-accurate, cramping, and battery draining of the wii-motes.

(don't forget the take a rest every 30 minutes pop-up at the beginning of game Inxile or you will be up to your scarf's in carpal tunnel sue'ings)

Although their are nice possibilities E.g; online video sharing, friends & messaging, or maybe a screen saver option to go to sleep to while watching tv heh.

Also it's a small game.. maybe add several versions (the paintable backround/foreground is nice) or sell it cheap/with another game. I dont know how you will deal with that, i'm sure if people like the game enough they will buy it, it is of course an internet phenomenon.

I can't think of much more, just some idea's/doubts I have. I hope I can perk up a conversation or helpful things for Inxile,
Always up for conversation
~Mirinu

((Idea just hit me: Make the files for Beta 2 with all our favorite tracks compatible with the SD card and playable/editable on our wii?))

Line Rider on the Wii (or any of the 3 platforms for that matter) is not a small game by any means, and you will understand why when it comes out and you try it. (the mode you are used to in flash is a mode that takes up a fraction of the whole game).

I and other developers are playing it every day for hours (testing etc).

It is no more battery draining on the Wii-mote than any other Wii game, and after hours and hours and hours of playing the thought "I wish this was more precise" never even crossed our minds.

In my opinion, it is perfect Laughing out loud

PS - moved to Wii section

Awesome! It took me a loooonnnngggggg time to find and get a wii, but as a nintendo fan AND a linerider fan, this is going to be SO worth it from what I've seen... Clap Just a few Qs:

a) Is it going to work multi player esque; like are you going to be able to wiimail or share in some way your tracks? It would be awful if I spent a long time making a track and nobody saw it Sad

b) More elaboration on multi-player-esque play; Am I going to be able to use my account name & pass in the game, and do something like actual multi-player; like a multi-player mission: Who can make the biggest jump in, say, 60 seconds?

c) Please Please PLEASE tell me that Linerider will NOT work with action replay... Darn cheaters wreck everything about games... Especially if there's multi-player

Off Topic! Gooo wii! Better then the 360 and the PS3!!!
(But the 360 is still pretty darn good)

Is this going to be a Virtual Console purchase, or a disc game?
And I am sad to hear that it wont be out during the holidays bad

My My 2 cents.

LineRiderJunkie: I think that, due to InXile not being owned by Nintendo, it's going to be a disk game. For what I've seen, just Nintendo's on Virtual Console... It would be awesome if it was though

Also, it is a bummer that it's not out for the holidays, agree but don't hassle 'em, 'cause if you've EVER looked at the tech/game market, rushing to market just results in worse games. (No, I'm not insulting you, just informing you of my views My 2 cents. )

Andrei: My 2 cents. :
a) That's great to hear that it's more then the flash version!
b) Jawdropping! Lucky lucky lucky you... I would kill (Innocent figuratively speaking) to get my hands on the LRW (LineRider for Wii)... Even if to "Test it"
c) Why would it be more battery draining? It's a wiimote, one way or another!
d) That's SUPER great to hear that the game is precise. That was the only worry of mine...
e) If it's perfect, and cheese is perfect, then does LRW have a easter egg with cheese? If not, you should add it Sticking out tongue

uhh idk about the whole linerider for wii thing. I think you're right Mirinu. It would probably be difficult to draw liens with the wii remote unless u have a rock steady hand (which is virtually impossible). But i also agree it would be fun.

P.S. i have gone thru the pros and cons and i would say, NO WAY! to it being on the Wii.

so this would put the fun in back into the app than professionalism which ruin it. so what you could do a g well at least you should try having fun with it or your trying to impress people with your stale been done before manual all blue track.

This Game is going to be good, but when does it come out? Puzzled
Nintendo says it was announced.

Off Topic! Wii is better than Xbox 360 or PS3 (Although PS3 is pretty good to, but 360 is only held up by Halo!) agree

If it was on the Wii, it would be kind of hard to draw the lines, due to having to keep your hand steady. Except for that, making it on the Wii is a good idea agree

line rider for the wii? what a stupid idea, i have a wii, but i still think it's a sucky idea

@Jon Ediger, Why stupid Idea? I have also a Wii, but I think that I won't buy the game.. I can play it on the PC for free, and here it's just easy to draw the lines.. on Wii, with the Wiimote, it's harder, I think.

Probably the Game will be good, good enough that I'll buy it..

The only game that comes before it is SSBB.
That is the only more important game.
When does it premier?
And none of you have considered the fact that there will be extra features on the wii version.
Which of course there will, or why would anyone buy it?

it'd be awesome if you could hook up linerider for DS to the wii and make tracks and save them on the wii so it'd be easier to draw lines with a stylus than a wiimote
