Ads and Game Performance
I agree.
Sometimes, I get ads from Mercado Libre (eBay for latinamerica), and it comes with a text box, when it refreshes, my screen focuses on that text box, which at first made me thing the window had refreshed...
My computer is pretty good, so it doesn't slow down with flash ads, but the Mercado Libre thing gets really annoying when it happens often...
My computer has an extremely fast processor and lots of RAM too, so it bothers me that I'm having trouble playing the game.
Who do we have to get in touch with in order to try and purchase the game on CD or arrange for an ad-free on-line subscription?
Whose attention do we have to get?
Do we send up a flare or what?
Greetings! I love LineRider, and my hat's off to the person / people who invented it and run this site.
I was wondering if it would be possible to purchase the game on CD so that I don't have to contend with the advertisements. If that's not possible, then how about offering an ad-free subscription so that it still runs on-line but without the commercials. I'd be willing to pay a few bucks ($10 or so) a year just to be able to play the game without having the ads degrade the performance of my computer.
Some of these ads that appear suck up so much memory and processing speed that LineRider runs agonizingly slowly, or even not at all until the ad is replaced by another, less memory-intensive ad.
