LineRider for Beginners:
Are you confused how we all got on our way with LineRider, and became as good as some of us are today? Well this guide will break down some of the basics you need to know to succeed with LineRider.

Keep This On Your Mind
Before even thinking about placing that first line on your first track, keep one thing in mind, physics. If you fall down 50 feet in real life onto the ground, you will hurt yourself. Same deal for Bosh (The LineRider).

Learning the HUD (Heads Up Display)

This is the Heads Up Display, and it's what you will use to create, delete, save, and load tracks on linerider. To get info on each button, plus how they work, push H when you see this bar on the game. To exit the Help menu, push H again.

Pencil: Drawing with this tool will result in anything but a straight line.
Pen: When you draw with this, you will draw straight Lines.
Eraser: Get rid of lines by clicking and holding over lines with this tool.
Zoom Tool: Zoom in or out by clicking and holding on the screen, and dragging the cursor up or down.
Hand Tool: Click and drag on the track to view a different area.
Play and Stop: Use these to play a track, and stop it.
Flag Tool: While a track is playing, use this to set a checkpoint, or erase a checkpoint while a track isn't playing.
Save and Delete: Use these 2 buttons to save a track, or to erase the one on stage. Note: Using the Delete button will not delete it's saved file. Be sure to save first.
Line Swatches: When using the Pen or Pencil Tool, the Blue box is for drawing normal lines. The Red box is for drawing acceleration lines. The Green Box is for drawing scenery lines (You can't ride on scenery lines)

Drawing Time
Click on any one of the drawing Tools, and you are instantly ready to make a track. Using either the Pen Tool (Straight Lines), or the Pencil Tool (Non-Straight Lines), you can draw a line from the left to the right, or vise-versa.

If you draw a line from left to right, you will have created a "Floor", in which Bosh can ride the line like normal.

If you draw a line from right to left, you will have created a "Ceiling", in which Bosh will fall through the line from the top.

To Help Remember:

Think if you were drawing a loop, your lines would start going from left to right, but as you draw the loop's slope, you begin to transisition to right to left as you draw. This is the basic principle of Floors and Ceilings

Smooth Curves

This is how I got making smooth curves down, and I consider it the easiest way to draw smooth curves if your a beginner.

The Technique, Slightly Advanced:
There is a certain way I drew these lines. I started off with 2 lines, one barely crossing the other. I used the peice sticking out from the first line, and crossed the 2nd line a little bit. Then I repeated the process for the 2nd and 3rd line, and so on.

In Conclusion
Well that's it. I felt like making this tutorial, and if it already exist's, too bad, this one's got spunk.

Enjoy newcomers, dicuss and tell me what you think, and maybe some improvements I can make to this, or even if I just spelled something wrong, I wanna hear it Smiling.

Just one question, what are you using that kind of linerider??

Im fairly certain it has different physics and such, if you were to post a vid with the version, you'd get either flagged or criticized. So it would be better to use the LineRider on this site

Don't post your signature twice, and don't double post. This forum has the same rules and guidelines as most forums, just because you are good at Line Rider does not mean you are exempt.
