Welcome To My Vista Guide!!!

(Detailed Guide For Newbies)

Ok, firstly, if you don't have Windows Vista, you do not have to read this guide

What is a .SOL File?

Firstly, a .sol file is a file used to save your Line Rider tracks. If you copy and paste another person's .sol file into your own computer, You will be able to play their tracks on your computer!

Where Do I Find It? (Windows Vista)

For Line Rider Stand-a-lone Versions (not having to go on websites to play Line Rider). The location should be here (username= your username, *****= random numbers and letters). C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\*****\localhost.

Manual Way To Get There

1. Click Start, and then click 'Computer'.
2. Click on your ( C: ) Drive.
3. Now click on 'Users'. Find your username, and click it.
4. You should see a folder called 'AppData'. Click it.
5. You will see a couple of files. Click the folder 'Roaming'.
6. Click the folder 'Macromedia', and then 'Flash Player'.
7. Then click the folder called '#SharedObjects'. After that, click on the folder, which has the name of random numbers and letters.
8. A few folders will come out. Some folders have websites that you have used flashplayer on, for example, www.youtube.com . Click 'localhost'.
9. There you have it. The .sol file should probably be named as savedlines.sol, or undefined.sol.

For Line Rider 'Website Versions'

(People who go on websites to play Line Rider (like www.official-linerider.com).

The location should be here (username= your username, *****= random numbers and letters, website= the website you play Line Rider on). C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\*****\[website].

8. This time, instead of clicking 'localhost', click on the website you play Line Rider on (in this case, most popular and secure website is www.official-linerider.com).
9. There you have it. The .sol file should probably be named as savedlines.sol, or undefined.sol.

FPOFY.SF (Frequent Problems On Finding Your .Sol File)

1. I can't find my 'AppData' folder after I click on 'Users'!

Well, this is most likely because it is HIDDEN.

1. a) To solve this problem, copy and paste this into your address bar. (Replacing the [username] with your username).

C:\Users\[username]\AppData

1. b) After that, right click the area (not the folders) and then click 'Customize This Folder'.
2. Click the 'General' tab, and you will see at the bottom, a tick box.
3. You see the 'Hidden' check box? Uncheck the tick box 'Hidden' and now click 'OK'.
4. There should be a pop up, giving options like 'Apply changes to this folder only', etc.
5. Click on the bottom option 'Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files'. Now click OK.
6. It should start 'Applying Attributes To Folder' or something like that.
7. There you are! It is now 'seeable' when you click Users!

Ok, right now thats all I have for problems on Windows Vista, but if theres any more problems that are on Windows Vista, and have been solved.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: I can't open my .sol file! Is there a program to open it?

A: No, you do not need to open your .sol file. To open your saved tracks, you must put it in a specific location (look above). THERE IS NO NEED TO OPEN iT!!

Rules On Using .SOL Files, and Line Rider

* Please DO NOT steal someone's .sol file, upload it and say it is yours.
* ALWAYS ask for permission to add scenery, improve the track, etc. before using the .sol file.
* DO NOT steal someone's .sol file, and start 'grafitiing' on the track, and start uploading it on sites (for example 'This Track Sucks!!!', and then you put it on your xanga site or something, etc.).
* Please DO NOT try to talk about hacking Line Rider (unless you have permission, or something)

Hoped you all liked this, Vista and non-Vista users. Just posting this to be helpful, and also, if the problem 'AppData folder not found' has been solved and posted somewhere else, I apologise, and will credit that person instead (if this happens, show me a link for proof). I know many people do not have Vista, but one day, a lot of people will have it, and start asking questions (so I better post this up first!).

The END!
